Can a SAFC read boost pressure?

I asked this question in another post, but didn't get much response. I was told that a SAFC does not read boost pressure. If so, then what is meant by the description on Apex website (http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_safc.asp):
"The S-AFC is capable of monitoring and replaying the following data channels in Numerical, Analog Meter and Graph displays: Intake Manifold Vacuum/Boost Pressure , Air Flow Capacity, Intake Manifold Pressure, Karmann Frequency, Engine RPM, Throttle Position, and Air Flow Correction %." Does the EVO ECU not have the required pin connections that would be used to connect the SAFC, to utilize these functions? Any Evo owner who has one of these units can you tell me if they do truely read boost pressure, and if so how is it read; bar or psi? In any case I will be purchasing one shortly, and I want to also be able to read boost and wanted to know if I need a boost gauge as well. If I do ultimately need to get a gauge as well, what is a good inexpensive boost gauge I could get that might have a back light, glow in the dark, or indiglo that I would be able to read at night? Thanks.

You will need a boost gauge also. The SAFC has monitors several readings, but not boost. At least not on our cars. Not sure about the SAFC2 though.

There is a Air flow (karman) meter reading, but has nothing to do with actual boost pressure. Not quite sure what your talking about "ryancb"......??
