Smooth shifting?
If you can do it fast and smooth, that is the true key. If you can't do it fast AND smooth, worry about doing it smooth first. Even if ripping through it fast makes you less jerky, it'll make your tranny and drivetrain think you're a jackass, especially when you quickly miss a gear.
What 4WS said defintely helps too. Feed her some revs and she will behave. If I dont want to think really hard about being smooth, I will rev it up to almost 3k and let the clutch out in 1st. Just dont hang it there or youll burn up your clutch real quick!
Yea evos like to rev Ive noticed if you just rev it out alittle bit it will shift smoother otherwise it feels like you are just boggin it down. Rev it out to at least 3-3.5k and it will feel better.
Some days my timing is way off and it feels like im just learning to drive a manual, then there are other days when every shift is just as smooth as could be.Just one of those things.
