Silky smooth upshifting

Hey guys, any of you have advice on how to get completely smooth up-shifts in your Evo X GSR's? I previously owned a Honda Civic and have been shifting my Evo similar to how I'd shift in that car, which makes the Evo jerk quite a lot during up-shifts.
What I've been doing is:
Release throttle > clutch in > select gear > clutch out completely > give throttle.
I usually shift between 3000 to 4000 rpm while cruising. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Talk to Zohan. He knows all about the silky smooth.

No seriously just enjoy the car and drive. You'll get the hang of it. Yes, true... the clutch/trans is not as forgiving as other cars. Just takes practice.

Like they said, practice makes perfect.

But I find it smoother when I give it gas ever so slightly right before I disengage the clutch. YMMV. To echo the posts above, keep practicing and experiment on different methods, I'm sure you'll find your way.

Happy safe driving!

Honda transmission shifts so much smoother. It comes with the territory. You don't have to to beef up if you won't have to hold a lot of torque.
