U think so? idk just seems like all of the gears would not engauge if it were the clutch. ya know where im comin from? but if it happened to u i guess its possible. and really that would probally explain the griding goin into the other gears...am i right or wrong?
It didn't make sense to me, either. I didn't notice the clutch slipping under load in 4th or 5th gear. I was getting grind between 4th and 5th though. Then I down shifted on the highway, from 5th gear, and no 4th. They pulled tranny and said the clutch was bad. Also, has a bent shifter fork. and no reverse gear. New clutch ,shifter fork, and reverse gear. All is well, except my bank account.

UPDATE!!!!!! i took the car out for a ride last night. it sat all day yesterday i got off work got in it and went for a ride! the 4th gear was back? it drove normal. i started to drive it a little harder and the gear went back out? I was told by a buddy of mine to get it in 3rd gear and pull it back into 4th without using the clutch, so i did and it stayed engaged in 3rd. he told me it was my shifter linkage that was messed up? Dose this sound right? If it dose the dealer should fix this under warranty no matter what!
trying playing with your linkage.... check your clutch engagement.... make sure its engaging and disengaging properly... maybe a simple clutch adjust..... Always check the little things before you think it somthing major..... Also have you tried goin through gears with the car parked and the clutch in???? see if the problem still occurs.... Goodluck

Yeah stock clutch..i bought the car with 14k on it stock and i blew the stock clutch bought an e.bay 6 puck clutch kit and a prolite flywheel and got it put in and the ring gear on the flywheel and chewed my starter and flywheel up. i sent it back to where i got the clutch put in, at the dealership where i purchased the car and said they couldnt do anything for me because it was an aftermarket clutch!! so i was mad at myself for doing such a foolish thing i just told them to put a stock clutch and flywheel back in the car...but to answer our question yes stock clutch with about 11k on it.
