Wondering if anyone has a estimate on the time it takes or labor expense (what did you get charged) for installing new head studs, cams, and valve springs and retainers...on an Evo 9.
I have been reading up on this and there are several different ways to approach the install...some folks just remove the head, some leave it on, etc...so I assume there could be some variance in what different shops would charge.
If you've had Studs, Cams, and the VT upgraded or if you are a mechanic and have experence here please chime in!
Thanks!
Matt

It takes more then 3hrs to do cams, springs retainers, and head studs. Unless your using a hammer and chisel.
Back on topic. We do lots of these packages. We like to leave the head on the car as not to disturb the head gasket. We like to take our time and call it a full days work. Can it be done faster yes. But when a hammer falls on a fender it makes for unhappy customers. We charge 475 for this job.
