I was wondering the same thing so I called FP last week and they said it does indeed come with the 18 psi actuator.

This is what Buschur says about it :-)

"An upgraded high boost wastegate actuator is an option. This option is an additional $65 fee. Please mention you want this at the time of ordering."

I have an FP Red that came with 18 psi actuator that I didn't pay a dime extra for. Also called FP directly while the Red was in transit and confirmed the 18 psi actuator comes with the Red.

I really hate to jack this thread... but I thought the question might have been answered. Do you owners of the new FP Red know if you can do a core exchange for the turbo?

fp red when ordered from fp comes with the standard atcuator unless you specify you want the 18 psi, which is an option you get for free...

Thats not totally true. FP stated that they tally up 30 cores from people and then knock them out all together. So, if you are one of the last cores to get there, then you won't wait too long. If your one of the first of the batch, you may be waiting a little longer.

I should be sending mine in shortly.....just gotta buy living room furniture first

Hopefully someone from Buschur Racing will come on and clarify whether the FP Red with the FP high boost actuator actually costs more from them than FP.

I clearly recall Robert from FP stating that upon customer request, the FP HD actuator, is a no charge option when the turbo is ordered straight from FP.

I think that the first batch of fifteen Reds shipped to BR were fitted with the stock IX actuator. In which case the FP HD actuator would have to be retrofitted by Buschur, which would leave him with a bunch of stock actuators in addition to having to order additional HD actuators from FP.

I want a Red 9.8, now!
