No he's talking about the clutch engagement shudder, the clutch disc is very grabby when it is cold. TOB noise and car stutter are two different topics from this.

FWIW I had the same "issue" with my 330, as did a TON of others. It's a physics thing ya'll.

I have it too. I noticed it when the weather turned cool. I am also real light on the gas so not to wake up the neighbors at 5am. This may add a little to the shudder or chatter.

I have this chatter every morning, especially when its cold. The chatter goes away within 30 min. You can rev. the car a little more (2k) before you release the clutch - this helps.

I've had it since day one, my car now has 6k miles - everything is fine.

Mine started to shudder, sometimes violently, around 3000 miles. Now that I am aware of it, I can help the cause by giving it a little more gas and slipping the clutch. After about 2 to 3 stop and starts, the clutch is fine.

I have 82,000 miles on my OZ and it has been doing it forever, but got worse it seems at around 60k or so, because now it even does it some after warm up.... this may be normal with these cars/clutches, but it is not normal relative to the rest of the automobile world, as I have NEVER had a car or motorcycle that shudders like this before, cold or warm, and I've had quite a few of both.... I can't imagine Mitsubishi selling many of these cars of they behaved this way during the initial test drive, which makes me think they have somehow band-aided this problem so it doesn't appear for a while through the use of oils or some type of friction modifier.... This is the only thing I hate about the car... By the way, i'm running Red Line synthetic transmision fluid (gear oil) in my car since 37k, and it was doing it before that swap also... James

mine just started doing it a few hundred miles ago (Im around 8k now) if its cold it is pretty hard to engage the clutch smoothly. I think its a combo of the TOB and discs not grabbing well. kinda anoying but its normal since this is a mitsu and not a porsche

Yup, I get the chatters as well. Mostly it happens in the morning. Like everyone has mentioned before...once the car has warmed up it goes away.

Now that the weather is getting much colder (I am from new england) I have noticed that it happens a bit more often during the day when the car has been sitting awhile and has cooled down again.

No big woop...I have the stock clutch and no problems yet. I have 15,000 miles on her.

It's normal for a standard cold car. Mine does it. Stock clutch, 40,000 miles to date. No sign of slipping or anything, just an occasional chatter. Completely normal.

For the record, my brother's STi does it a lot as well.
