stilll nothing ... precision said it could take up too two weeks before they can even look at it. Kind of annoying if you ask me. so the car will stay in pieces for a while i guess

that sucks....i would take some money out of the savings and buy another turbo so the car is not just sitting there....would give me an excuse to buy a HTA based turbo . Then just sell the 61mm turbo when Precision sends it back to you.

well............its not the kit, ETS makes one hell of a kit. I dont think it would hurt to change to a HTA....its the turbo to have . I think i may swap mine out for a HTA35r soon.

okay so here is the deal, they said there was a bearing cartridge failure. Since i did not drive it at all since i heard the noise they said there was no other damage. They are covering it under warrenty and i should have it back early next week sometime. The only thing they were suggesting was to try and get a new location for the oil feed line, ( somewhere closer to the oil filter? Does anyone have a suggestion/?

Brandon,
I'm a bit confused as to why they'd suggest an oil feed location other than factory, but can assure you that the factory feed offers more than sufficient oil pressure and that is further dictated by the restrictor (built by Precision) that we use in every kit.

do these turbo's have a oil restrictor like garrett gt series turbo's?
because the restrictor is a very very small hole for the oil to get thru i once had a turbo bearing failure and when inspected a very small bit of debris was lodged in the very small hole restricting oil feed to the turbo too much which caused premature failure, so if has this restrictor check it out
