Launching in an evo is not the best for the tranny or T-case. Try these links below. I know most people go with shepard for the t-cases

I'm in the same boat you are...in the process of looking for a t-case now. 6200 rpm two step launches ftl.

Hey moevo8. the guys in the states have better transfer cases then we do here they pretty much run our RS equivelant T cases. in the GSR's over here our T cases are pretty fragile just like our diffs..... the best option for you would be to try and find a RS transfer which is a plate type setup and makes it heaps better... try calling ralliart in aucks to see if they've got any second hand ones (prob a couple of grand). i must admit i have blown many a g.box and t.case ohhh and rear diff's ohhh yeah and front diff'sss hahahaha.... if you can get hold of a shep one then that would be good but otherwise ive got a mate down here in welly who specializes in evo G/box's (does andre's and a few 700hp box's) im sure he will be able to sort it out if you want. just let me know IMHO probably one of the best in NZ.

No its not. The ACD one is better because there's actually a differential in there compared to the 03-04's which didn't have one.

To the OP, your best bet is to either find a second hand RS tcase (obviously the whole thing since your case is cracked), or just pick up a case and put a Quaife differential in there from Shep racing. You can order the Quaife separately and put it in yourself if you prefer.

There are threads on here that teach you how to launch properly. Basically you need to slip the clutch until you feel it grab and then pop off.

Also, I've said it once, I'll say it again, I love NZ! Hope to make it back over there sometime soon!

I didnt think RS had acd or anything like that??

Can anyone confirm? Our NZ cars are all JDM..

But it is true that RS gear can take more of hammering.
Im conteplating selling ym HKS twin plate and getting a good single..
