steering wheel shake at highway speeds

Hi,

I have a red evo, and I notice my steering wheel vibrates/shakes at highway speeds 60+ mph.

Do I have a wheel imbalance or could it be something more? I have 1300 miles on the car.

Anybody else experience this?

Steve

it could be the wheels or the tires or the brakes but the dealer should be able to shoot you in the correct direction. Hopefully you didn't rub or hit somthing that bent your wheel because If you did the dealer will charge a crap load for a new wheel so try and deal with them the best you can.

Did you hit anything on the highway? This problem can be caused by a bent wheel.

Yeah, probably a weight fell off one of the wheels so they're out of balance, or you hit a big pothole that knocked some air out of one of your tires or maybe put the suspension out of alignment. Just take her in for a check.
