Smile Evo Red

Hi Guys
It is dificult to get an idea of what sort of power these turbo's will make.
Our RR figuars in the uk are Fly wheel and we use 99 RON fuel etc

If a FP green make approx 470 bhp @ the fly what do you think the Red will make?

Regards

I think Rob from Forced Performance made 470 on 100oct. Do a search on the Red turbo and you can get your ideas from that.

Add 15 to 20% to the WHP for flywheel hp.

U.S. 93 0ctane(Research+Motor/2)pump gasoline is equivalent to 98 octane R.O.N. gasoline. Guys over here are trading in their Greens like hotcakes and moving up to the FP Red in droves. My guess is that depending on the tune, you could see a 35-55 BHP increase if going from the Green to the Red. There are several threads comparing the Red's power numbers to those of the Green. Just extrapolate from the AWHP #'s using TeSTudo's rough conversion factor(+15%). Of course, you have to take the calculations with a grain of salt as you'll be comparing figures from a rolling road that spits out brake horespower to any number of different dynamometers each calibrated differently.

peak Flywheel HP = 10HP per lb/min airflow (gasoline, avg. setup), can get up to 12 HP per lb/min on alternate fuels and optimized setups.

So...... Green we advertise at 49 lb/min, Red we advertise at 58 lb/min.

If you are asking abt a car that can make 470 bhp with a green, then i suppose it has full bolt ons. In this case you should easily see over 500 flywheel with the red.

Make a little research over here and see what the reds are making.

From my personal experience, different dynos over here read as follows:

Dyno Dynamics: add abt 20% to get flywheel bhp
low reading mustand (like the one at CBRD and Buschur): add abt 15%
Dynojet & high reading mustang: add abt 8%

Good Luck

Actually I have seen dynos of UK cars that had 490 on a Green and high boost/bolt ons. I guess the red will easily make 520-530 on a IX with built motor/ full bolt ons and shell 100 RON fuel (at least 2 bar boost ofcourse). I guess we will know for sure in a few months time. I will be running a Red converted to ball bearing from a company in the UK.

So all thing being equal,if the green flow 49lbs which equates to 490 fly bhp ,(which is achievable) then it should be possible to make 580 fly bhp on a Red ?
Possible?

Regards Andrew

In Puerto Rico, I believe 600 wheel hp has already been achieved.

The stock IX turbo has 41 lb/min and equates 410-420 bhp on a IX with cams. Perhaps 550 bhp on a Red is a realistic estimate.
