Critique my car, 12.00 @ 119, 35r pump/meth

Hello everyone. this is probably a very difficult thing for me to do, to place my head in the fire of the masses and ask people to critique, constructive criticism so that I can learn/benefit in someway so that I can improve in my hobby, not bashing as that is not constructive now is it ? , because I would not appreciate that.

Ok since we have that out of the way on to the specs

mods on my car, power mods at least
stock block/head and ecu
PMAS blow through
standard GT35R
redneck built Manifold
AMS VSR
750CC injectors
gsc 272s
Buschur race FMIC
3 inch exhaust
2.5" lower IC PIPE
3" uPPER IC pipe
PPI 65MM TB
Meth Injection 625cc nozzle

here is graph of the power

Now before anyone says those are low numbers ( a car with 360 whp on this same dyno went 11.10 @ 125 ( PPI car)

the weight of my car with me in it ( 156ibs, 3/4 tank of gas) was 3404IBs

here is my run of 12.009 @ 119.68
the slip
0.4060 reaction time
1.79 60'
5.0549 330'
7.2619 ET @ 594 FT
7.7708 1/8 ET
88.43 1/8 MPH
10.1041 1000' ET
106.62 1000' MPH
12.009 1/4 ET
119.68 1/4 MPH

the run

picture of the engine bay

it astoundes me how the buschur camp cars, can run soooo much power on pump gas, it is indeed very commendable.

so my question to one and all, what went wrong, what is the next logical step for me and my daily driver.

thanks for looking

I would think that your 1/8 mph would be a little faster based on the mods you have. What psi are you running? S

First off, your car was making power up until it was stopped at about 7250. Rev that thing some more, and you would have made more power. But, I have to say 119 with a 35R leaves you with tons of room for improvement! I ran 107 just about stock (just some tuning, but stock boost). Did you tune the car yourself? How much boost are you running?

Edit: Saw you said 26PSI. That is not bad at 26PSI first time out then. Get some more tuning done, turn the boost up, and run low 11's, and eventually 10's

I think there is a few points that could use improvement. 60ft is not bad for a newer driver but could def go down some. shifting needs to be done quicker to keep boost and power on tap plus that will get the ET's down in the 1/8th and 1/4. The car seems down on power for what it has. my car went mid 120's similar weight, with less boost approx (21psi). Actually I went almost trapped that fast on my stock turbo.

Engine bay is clean, ditch the extra BOV, don't sweat the numbers, you're still on stock bottom end. Looks fine to me! Not the quickest down the track but I bet it's a sh1tload of fun on the street!

How come you are boosting low? I thought with meth, you can raise your boost. And what's the a/f ratio?

btw, nice motor!

Car/engine looks fine. The driver mod will improve and as it does, the times will drop. I would be running a little more boost (of course I would) and running it out a little higher. Probably at least 78-7900. The improvements are driver and a little more boost for the 35R. Car will run low 11's as you dial in the tires/suspension and driver gets better.

hahaha I "green can of tuna ? hahahah YEAH that made my day

When I tuned the car myself, it made 350 on this same dyno at 22psi, Tom Payne, tuned the car then added 4 psi of boost a made a peak of 406 HP 330 wtq

scheides, thanks and I can't ditch the 2nd BOV , I am doing an experiment with different spring rates. and yes it is very fun to drive on the street, feels faster too

AF is in the 11.5s through out the run.

9sec9---- I know the driver mod is the biggest thing, I tried my hardest to shift this car to the best of ability and dare I say it " beat on it " a little.

while we are on the subject of suspension, the car has

APEX exv Coilovers, with 550# springs in the front and 650 # springs in the rear,
buschur racing mustache bar and side supports
ams lower stay bar ( solid front motor mount)

I tried to play with the dampening at the track, progressively increasing the dampening in the rear, however I think I need to SOFTEN the rear struts, so the car actually squats during the launch.
Tires are crappy 235 40 18 bridgestones, with tire pressure at 29 psi

bigger meth nozzle to run more meth, much higher boost, and rev it out higher. you should be able to run 30psi with meth on stock block ( i do) and rev it out to 8k where it will still pull like crazy. you can run more boost and could rev it out if you wanted to see the limits of the block, but for me 30 @8k is plenty fast

100% agreement. I was trying to be conservative with the 78-7900, but 8k is even better and still safe.

I would try , good tune 28psi on 110 octane. and disconnect the meth just to see. Everything is a learning process. I love my 35r.

I currently use a 625cc nozzle, with the pump pressure turned up slightly over what snow performance sends out on a diesel truck kit. if I try to turn the boost up anymore,( my timing is conservative) I start to see knock.

KevinD ... do you think that I should add another 325 nozzle to the system.

8k for shift points seems to be the consensious so far, isn't that valve float territory with the stock springs though ?
