ACD control

Hey, I recently purchased my first 2006 Evo IX ( 21,000 miles) stock no modz. I have a feeling there's something wrong with the ACD control. How can you tell if it's working right...The reason why I ask is that every setting feel's the same and, the problem is it think it stuck on Gravel or snow... When I drive Highway or street my car feel like it drives like a " Trackor " really low torque..I really have to floor my car for it to move. I know my clutch is slipping and needs to be changed. But if someone can give test to do to find out if it's not the ACD.

Thanks
Gary

If you know that your clutch is slipping first step is to replace it. You have any lights illuminated on the dash?

If something was wrong with the ACD all 3 lights would be lit up at the same time. Fix your clutch first.

I don't really think you will be able to tell a difference in the ACD if your just driving normally. I was only able to tell when in the rain doing donuts, I was able to feel the diffs take longer to lock (due to gravel/snow mode), and when they did you can totally feel it. I also was able to tell in sand/gravel where the one tire would be slipping and then after 3 seconds or w.e. (gravel mode) it locked up and I took right off.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with your car other then your clutch slipping change that and then come back to us. The ACD you won't feel under normal driving you would well lets see in terms we could all understand. you would have to be trying to run from the police (DON"T DO IT) then you would be able to feel the difference. The ACD was designed and put in the car for the hardcore autoX drivers. Not working professionals and students.

yeah like posted before just change out the clutch and then focus on the acd. or find someone local that can give you a ride in their car to see if you feel any difference.

Drive on snow or gravel or autox fast. then you'll tell if it works. acd is a power adder. its there for handling. On the street you'll have a hard time getting the acd to actually do a job. But at that point you'll prob. be heading for a ditch or pole.
