In my personal opinion David and the crew ARE where it's at in 4G63 performance... could call him the Godfather of 4G63 performance if you were to look at his record, experience, and innovation. The ONLY thing he and I really disagree on is engine management. (yes, he has the record, therefore the "say")

David is most familiar with the AEM and I absolutely understand that. However, I personally believe they have no place on a daily driver, esp since now you can pretty much do ALMOST anything with the OE ECU you can with the AEM. Different MAF's/speed density/two step/no lift shift, so on and so forth. Of course right now it's all good to run aftermarket engine management in places where you can get away with it on a street car. However, I'm involved in Gov't, and we are not far at all from not having that option anywhere in the Country on a car with a legal sticker... if you follow.

Back to your point, Mellon will get you hooked up. It's not really a matter of a "mail tune" just to scale your injectors, but he will explain that in better detail.

can you swap the head studs without removing the head?
if not why dont you swap out the rods for forged items while the engine is open?
very very cheap way to do it if its opening anyway and the safety the steel rods bring is well worth it!

You do not have to remove the head to put in head studs.

Mellon Mellon Mellon call Chris. I have the red and 1000 pte. and the car is running great. He is still tuning my car and iam already more than happy. With the cost of a aem and tuning. The mail in should be a no brainer. He also has great customer service!

I second the vote for Mellon. Hes doing my Red right now and the experiance is far exceeding my expectations. Whats great about his service is its also a tutorial on the tuning process.

Man there are a LOT of people with the Red turbo right now

Anyway you go, good luck.

A little turbo with a big heart lol. Like all cams you'll loose some torque down low but make up the difference high up. With what I've seen, the turbo really loves high rpms.
