I'm Giving Up! Help!

Man... It seems like everytime you put a lil money into the evo, something else goes wrong with the car. Today I was getting into my car ready to go to work. i drive down the street and hearing a loud pop.... i wondering what could this be, because i wasnt boosting hard at all. shifting at like 4k. I look under the hood and realize my UICP blew off. this is a common problem i was having with my stock UICP and im still getting it with my aftermarket one. the car has an intake now but havent been tune but im not pushing the car at all just daily drivin till i can get it tuned next weekend. Now when the car reaches boost, it cant go any further just as if the uicp is still off. but i reconnected it. WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS PROBLEM TO KEEP HAPPENING????????

pressure in the intake lines ....very common problem bro, all you need are tbolt clamps..or for now, use two regular clamps, also tighthen them with the 8mm/10mm ratchet and dont use a screw driver...also you can put some hair spray around outside of TB to help seal....

I must be lucky... never had this problem yet and the stock pos clamps look like they are holding well.

as stated above, I would highly recommend you use t-bolt clamps if you are not currently using them. you might have other intercooler pipe connections which may be loose or are leaking causing your EVO to jerk under load. purchase some t-bolt clamps and go over your entire intercooler plumbing.

Also, make sure that when you tighten your clamps, you are tightening right next to, but not on top of, the bead on the intercooler piping. As long as the clamp doesn't fail, it makes it pretty difficult for the pipe to blow off.

+1 for the tbolt clamps, i used to blow off pipes when launching at the track, and then i got the tbolt clamps and it solved everything

PERIOD! So Next time you want some CRAZY Power.. Go to DTM. lol. and either get your motor blown or spanked by another evo with AMS GET BOOSTED on the license plate. i know from Experience(TUNED BY AMS).. or go to your gas station shop and get over priced! EVERYBODY DONT BE FOOLED BY THIS DUDE.. He's a JOKE...SERIOUSLY.... His period must be late by the way he's wine'n.

AMS HANDS DOWN. BEST SHOP IN THE METRO AND VA area

Dave AKA DiceRolla
I'm sure alot of DTM tuned cars know me in the rockville silver spring area
LOL hahahha

O really? This coming from a guy that couldn't troubleshoot a simple boost leak, claimed he was tuned, and all you have is an intake...
