don't over boost it, start by buying the biggest you can with the money or save for something bigger if you might want it later, do it once with the mod, not twice or three times, injecotrs go 1000 not 680 880 just start high so you dont lose all the money in the middle.

The 3.0" standard tank intercooler will work great on the red. If you plan on going bigger in the future I would go for the 3.5" it's only $100.00 more and allows you to upgrade in the future without having to replace your intercooler down the road.

If you have any questions send me a PM and I can help you get the best intercooler for goals.

Thanks,

Michael

im gonna be using stock ECU to tune till i go big, so 1000cc`s is a little out of reach, but when i do go big, im gonna wait till the FPred setup go`s boom, than HTAGT35R and built 2.0 with AEM EMS on meth and switch to a bushwacker 5speed.... should be nice... and the reason im not modded yet... got kicked off my parents insurance which was $275 monthly, to insurance in my name which is $10,000 a year, so thats taken priority till i figure that out, shouldnt take long

OK... BUMP... i figured it out wow... took me 8 months but im back on my feet, funny enough i lost my job 3 weeks after i made the last post, well, im back and better than ever, paying $600 a month in insurance, and still $345 in car payment... so i made a few moves.... hustled a little at work... and here i am with my first wave of mods, many of which still on the way (fedex takes forevar !!! or at least it feels like it lol) so heres my new setup... i followed alot of the advice i got in this thread... shaping up nicely

heres all my nonsense that i got a few weeks ago, and i also ordered some fun stuff last night, keep in mind, the car has been bone stock besides an N2MB WOT box for the last 14 months

Rexpeed carbon front plate bracket, 24 designs front plate frame, perrin shorty antenna

and last night i ordered the girodisc stage 2 street/track package with the magic pads

lancershop got some biz from me too, got the...

Stainless Steel Upper Clutch Line Kit

AMS SS Lower Clutch Line Kit

Speed Source EVO MR 6 Speed 2pc Under-hood Stiff Bushings Kit

and Vibrant MAF Adapter...

and last week i picked up a

Buschur racing intake pipe

Hallman RXpro MBC

Forge twin vent BOV (my buddy gave it to me for free, cuz it wouldnt fit his SRT-4)

perrin 4.5" black intake filter

not bad for my first wave of mods... i plan on ordering the GReddy Ti-C Comp TBE to get it for july 4th weekend, and installing it all one shot and getting it street tuned same day, the honors done by NY's one and only erkel... 350whp here i come !!!!

didnt put it on yet, but from what im told by my tuner, the trick is to turn the pipe around so the BOV recirc port is closer to the MAF and it will idle better... but i plan on maybe having all my power mods (intake, TBE, MBC) on untuned for maybe an hour or two, same day as all the installs she's gonna get tuned...

tonight i did my buschur intake with perrin filter, hallman RX pro MBC, and got a tune, sittin quick at 22psi... just a base tune cuz im doing a lower intercooler pipe next week and it'll be fine tuned, than retuned when i get the exhaust at the end of the month... but

HOLY FREAKIN FAST !!!!! this feels like a whole nother car... just WOW was all i could say first pull... i actually got sucked into my seat... with the LICP and retune i should be making 320whp, right now im just at 300whp from comparison to similarly modded evos with this rough tune... im getting better gas milage with the lean cruise, and the 6k 2step has the car rippin outta the hole...

exhaust is coming soon, and same time the fuel pump, gonna be running 24-25psi...

im soooo happy with this car right now its rediculous, im glad i can appreciate the power after waiting 14 months to mod...

Which LICP did you go with? Also if you wanna keep your stock battery, ETS makes a stock battery UICP kit!

some pics from the install day

the car is moving pretty nicely with the new power

car pulls like a raped ape so far, and im getting WAY better gas milage, its set for a lean cruise. the car is spinning off the line and a little of 2nd, pretty crazy feeling cuz at first i thought my clutch was slipping, but nope, just spinning... ive also notice i have alot more down low torque at part throttle, so its easier to drive around town out of boost, and above all the car just drives alot smoother, not as much bucking, smoother transition in shifts... just totally changes the dynamic of driving, i wish i would have done this sooner
