Open Exhaust

I ran into a problem away from home and i had to change my 50 Trim turbo back to stock. Problem is that my stock turbo setup does not line up with the 50 Trim downpipe. Can i run open exhaust from the o2 housing. How loud is it? I will only run like this for about two weeks.

i turned my car on when we were putting in my exhaust and it was loud as hell. You can run your car like that but it will smell like crazy and it will be super loud.

Backpressure. Agh. The turbo creates back pressure. It will not hurt your car to run just a dp. Downfalls may be, carbon poisioning, extreme loudness, and backfires can cause under car fires. Drive normal and wear ear plugs.

Me I run 3 inch turbo back pipe only. Nice loud. Loud pipes save lives.

After about 2 days you probably won't want to drive it at all.

i have a QTP dp with a cut out. i love the car with it open but for.no more than a few minutes. It is crazy load. Be careful....mine shoots flames so a fire is likely if its not directed away from the car.

larger diameter exhaust = better breathing for turbos so I really don't see how backpressure would play a role in being a problem. If you think about it, most drag cars run just a flanged pipe straight off the turbo and that's about just as free if not more than running open o2.
