Turbo install how many hours did it take you?

Hey guys my red should be here in the next week or so... Just looking to see how long it took some of you guys to bolt up any stock appearing turbos aka greens, stock IX's, 20g's etc..

ill be using all new parts, hardware, gaskets...

I will probably just roll my car up on some ramps and have at it

When i bolted a 16g into my gsx a few years back seems that it was about an all day job

Thanks!

Be sure to take out the radiator to make the job easier. It should take you 4 hours at most IF the O2 housing doesnt give you a hard time.

if you dont run into any problems probably a few hours. I have gotten the exhaust mani off in about 45min then there isn't much to do from there. if you are reusing the O2 housing it may take some more time.

Just unbolt the oil/coolant lines first. Unbolt the exhaust manifold, down pipe, and compressor outlet and pull the whole unit out as one. That makes it alot easier since you wont have to deal with the O2 Housing.

Start putting PB blaster on the O2 sensor now to hopefully loosen it some. You will probably have to take a torch to it to get it out though.

It took me a couple of hours. It gets easier as you do it more often. Just make sure you spray PB blaster on the bolts and let it do its magic.
