Nitrous in Evo IX

Hello

My Evo IX have a fully rebuilt motor: Ross Pistons AMS Spec., Manley Rods, Clevite, full ARP hardware, 272 Kelford cams.

I would like to install a nitrous kit for my Evo. I have experience with nitrous kits in my latest cars (one had single point system and second was direct port).

Now. How must I install a direct port steering, when I have Flat Shift function?
I mean - when I change gears WITH leg on gas pedal, how throttle body swich could turn off the system?

Any ideas ?

PS. Sorry for my english

Listen. My Evo is full daily driver. I'm running on stock Ecu with EGT & AFR gauges, so I have always engine parameters on eyes.

I am not really sure that my question is clear :/

@red evo8: what U mean "power shift" ?

the throttle switch activates the nitrous system
if your foot is on the pedal at full throttle it will continue to spray until you lift off the throttle
or you can put a button on your shift knob and activate it that way

this is simple. wire your relay ground through a clutch switch just like you do a throttle switch. wire them in series so that your throttle switch will be closed @ WOT and clutch must be released for the relay to ground. so if the clutch is depressed it will remove the relay ground even if the throttle switch is pressed.

@555R:

Like I said. I have some experience, so...

ad.1 I know that
ad.2 I thought about this

@browningderek:

Thanks. I think it's the only way too.
I was wondering, that someone did this?

In Poland we have many modified Evo's, but nobody have nitrous kit. I think they are scared of nitrous in Evo.
I was very glad my nitrous kits earlier, so I wanna try this in Evo too

I don't think Evos respond well to nitrous. Evo usually respond better to alky/meth.

Just buy a ZEX nitrous wet kit with a window switch and use maximum 75 hp with a good tune.

I use it regulary at the track.

Thanks. I had ZEX in my earlier car. I have read about this "window switch" and wondering it could help me.

Can U tell something more about connection and steering system with this device ?
It could be on PM.

Are You using a FlatShift ?
