car broke down 6 hrs from home with clutch/trans problem. dealer wants to install stock clutch for about $1800. Is this reasonable? Can anyone offer other suggestions for clutches. Budget is somewhat limited. I don't race. Just want a reliable product.

 

well, an act street clutch w/ flywheel is around $800... and im sure u can find labor under a grand so research before u blow money at the dealer

 

Buy a clutch and call Dog Box for installs. Very good prices and great work. That much money for a stock clutch and install is crazy.

labor should be around $400-500

or find a friend that can do it for pizza and beer

 

yea dont let the dealer touch that.. just get what there recommending or if you dont beat it throw a stock back in and be good..
