Best Clutch for 400-450HP

Hey everyone,

Wanted to know anyones opinions on the best clutch for 400-450hp. I'm planning on purchasing an ETS turbo kit with the GT3076R.

I was looking at the ACT Xtreme Duty clutch, Clutch Masters Stage 3, and Exedy Twin clutch.

Both ACT and Clutch Masters are really affordable.

Looing for suggestions based on personal experience (not hear-say).

Thanks

From my personal experience I went with an ACT 6puck sprung with the heavy duty pressure plate and not had a single problem with it. I'm pushing 45xwhp/35xwtq on GST's dyno and the clutch is holding up fine. One thing I did notice was after 3k miles I noticed that the clutch engages all the way at the top instead of down low like it used to. I don't know if that is due to wear or what not maybe someone else can chime in on that?

are you talking 400-500 whp? if not you don't need a twin clutch at all...unless you're going for more power down the road....ACT and Exedy have single clutches that are just great.

I have the Clutch Masters stage 3 with about 6,000 miles on it and it is great. I am currently at 460whp.

Ge the ACT HDSS. I have read wonders about them. The clutch would be perfect for the power your looking to put down

I dont plan on gonig over 500 whp ... not looking to go too wild.

I was thinking the ACT xtreme duty cluth kit. Is the Exedy cerametallic 4 puck?

Not planning to drag the car either, just auto x and road course track days.

Don't do it...Exedy Twin is what you want to invest in. The others are so tempting and oh yea so and so doesn't have any issues with HIS and thats great...but if you order an act, clutchmasters, exedy, same time..you will notice an obvious immediate difference between all of them just by the packaging alone and that alleviates alot of possible issues from the get go...my 2c...experience maybe, either way let us know what you get and how it goes.
