Did I fry my clutch?!?!

So, Sunday I let a friend of mine that has an S2000 drive my beloved EVO. My mistake. I drove his car before, hard, on a cannyon and it was a blast. So I felt that it was no problem to let him drive my 1000 mile car. On a little incline on a red light, he couldn't make it go, it stalled 2 times. I thought that he wasn't revving enough, because the S2000 doesn't need much rev to go in 1st gear, and the EVO needs a bit more rev to go from stop. On the third try, he floored and let go of the clutch kinda slow and the car started to move very slowly. HE WAS IN 3rd GEAR! AUGH! The smell of burnt clutch carved slices in my heart. Did he screwed up my clutch forever and I'll have to change it sooner than I expect? I drove it after that and there was no sign of slippage, but I hope it didn't glazed the clutch. I don't launch the car at all, and I don't hope doing it either, so I wonder if this only crap out would damage my clutch. What you think?
Thanks!

Just one third-gear screwup will not significantly shorten the life of the clutch, unless he rode the clutch for a few hundred feet uphill burning the whole way.

If he DID do that, then maybe you can borrow his S2000 and have a nasty bit of "trouble" trying to get it going uphill.

Hehe, Yes, the S2000 lacks terribly on the torque department. My friend was really impressed with the acceleration on the EVO.
Good news then, I should just refrain from letting my car be driven by people that can't distinguish between 1st and 3rd gears!

What rpm do you need to move the Evo from first and the s2000.
