The only thing I got accomplished today was mounting the oil filter housing, water pump, and pickup tube. I also made it over to the Mitsu dealer for some oil pan seal and a filter and crush washer for the drain plug.

water pump and oil filter housing

Bottom end, oil pick-up tube and baffle

Thanks.

I am wondering how the stock turbo is gonna workout with that Cossie head and Jun 264's. I never planned on putting such a raced out head on the car. It is almost overkill with the stock intake mani. Hopefully the AEM EMS will be able to sort it out.

well you are most likely going to outflow the stock turbo unless you had the head designed for a smaller turbo

Yea I can see you selling off some of the parts from the spare motor and putting that into a RED or a big turbo kit. I say go RED then wifey wont see a huge parts box show up and you'll be smiling ear to ear once tuned actually putting that beastly engine to work

honestly I was thinking green. I like autocross. I never did drag the car but once or twice just to get a time slip.

Plus I am really looking to build a steetable car which is why I chose the Jun 264's.

did you have the head prepped for a smaller turbo or a bigger one, too big a head could lead to undesired flow rates

Arent all Cosworth CNC heads the prepped the same?

If anything its meant for a large turbo. This is literally the head off the AMS drag car. They gave me a good deal and it was a fresh rebuild after they pulled it off. I assume it was to removed to put their own CNC head on.

I guess I will find out what happens with the stock turbo. I still have around $1500 left and I really want to send the tranny and t-case off for rebuild. They are already out of the car.

i would do that, then sell everything else you own to put soemthing that flows more on it, make use of the head, any hybrid would be good if you wanna retain stock manifold, CBRD BBK, FP RED, even id say 30r or 50 trim, anything bigger you may see the lag as too much, mind you since you will be able to rev to 9k+ it wont really limit you

Well, I got the Cosworth head from AMS today. So I decided to install it.
Stock head gasket. ARP head studs. Torqued in 3 increments per instructions to 80ft/lbs using Snap-on techangle 5-100ft/lb digital torque wrench. I then installed the JUN 264's and the Fidanza cam gears.
