Has anyone built a side mount turbo for the EVO? If anyone has any pictures please post them up!

didn't the AMS 1mile car have to turbo over the gearbox??

People are getting creative with these turbo setups.

 

Anything else? I'm looking for one that keeps the factory style radiator and is reasonable for a daily driver.

 

Here is my old setup. Could have used the stock radiator with it. I still actually have the complete kit. Thinking about selling it. Here are some pix.

very similar o what AMS did with their 1 mile racer. only they went down furher with the header.

Thanks for the comments guys! The turbo is a custom T72 with dual ceramic ball bearings. It was on my 2.4L engine and worked out really well. The Intercooler, Piping, Exhaust Manifold and Exhaust are all custom.

I wanted something different from what you see everybody else have or what you can buy off the shelf and this is what we came up with. For the new setup i am debating on modifing it or just getting a fresh start and start over.

So if anybody is interested PM me with offers. It of course would include everything noted above.

How did this setup perform?

 

It is still in production... Just got the new clutch (spec super twin) and tranny in yesterday. Today I installed the TC axles, etc.

I am shooting for 800whp
