FMIC's, axlebacks and changes to muffler.....
Hi guys,
Good news! Our new FMIC's and axlebacks are ready to ship.
We just got the plumbing back in this morning after having it coated.
The kits just came out beyond my expectations. The core is 24x10.5x3.5". The CFM is rated at 1125 CFM, 750 HP and has only .84 psi of pressure drop.
We were able to eliminate 20" of lower intercooler plumbing and 5 bends from the factory system.
The intercooler comes complete with the intercooler, couplings, clamps and new lower I/C plumbing.
This kit also increases the air flow to the radiator. Cost is only $750. This kit is different than any other EVO FMIC kit currently made.
The axle backs are also done and ready to ship. We are offering them in 2.5" and 3" versions, both for the same price of $260.
They both come with a 4" polished SS rolled tip or optional 3" or 3.5" miter cut NON rolled tip.
Alot of discussions on exhaust sound. WE are very happy with the EVO system we have built. Lightest SS system available and the cost is right. The idle noise and WOT noise is very aggressive. At cruise speed though this system is honestly QUIET in the car, a normal conversation can be had with no problem. We do keep hearing from some people, mostly bystanders that it is too loud. We are going to offer a quieter muffler because of this. The best thing to do is make the system legal and just run a 3" high flow cat which makes it considerably
quieter. Since some guys don't want to do this we will be forced to come up with an OPTIONAL quieter muffler.
Anyone interested in our system with a quiter muffler just let us know when you call. I can even run any muffler you choose as long as it will fit in our dimensions for the system. Call us, we can build it.
Thanks alot for reading,

How many I/C kits you guys got, or I should say got left? I want one but I can't order until next week. I've been wanting to swap out my stock FMIC for a while now. I'm glad you guys came out with one.
Any issues with keeping the stock upper I/C pipe when upgrading to the new FMIC? I plan on ugrading that later. Also, S-AFC settings. Any adjustments there? I currently use your settings, and have all the Buschur mods required for those settings.

The pictures of the FMIC on the car are already on the site.
The kits, I have 4 more sitting here right now. Don't worry, we can build them as quick as we need them.
As for the Magnaflow muffler, you tell me which model number you want and I will call them and get the specs on the size. If I can make it fit I will use it. There may be a difference in price, it will depend on how much that muffler or any other costs us.

Dave, does the IC piping require the use of a smaller or relocated battery? Does the IC piping work with the stock intercooler (therefore working with all the other aftermarket IC's on the market except Pruvens)?

Are you referring to the new lower i/c plumbing that we are supplying with our FMIC? If so then NO it will not work with anyone else's intercooler. I am telling you guys, this FMIC is completely different than anyone else is doing currently. Give it time, everyone will copy it though.
I have not run the car or dyno'd it with the new intercooler. I am taking the car to the track tonight though. We haven't run it since the Shootout in July.

The stock intercooler is 19"x2.5"x11". We made 343 hp on the stock intercooler. There are other companies saying that anything over 290 or so isn't possible.
The piece of the undertray that has to be cut is 25"x3.5" long, it is directly below the intercooler. I just went out to look at the FMIC on the car. The intercooler is still higher than the small factory tow hook found in the front center of the car. This will give you an idea how low it sits. It is above that and of course above the bottom of the front fascia.
I am going to be honest here. Every single shop out there has released a FMIC for the EVO already. Each of them has done exactly what the factory does. You will find other than a dimension here or there or the fin type used on all of the manufacturers FMIC kit there is really no difference. What we have done is changed the factory set-up. We have completely re-routed the intercooler plumbing eliminating 20" and 5 bends from the lower plumbing alone. We have also increased cooling to the radiator, substantially. The intercooler is also HIGHLY efficient, .84 psi of pressure drop, bar and plate design, 1125 cfm and 750 hp. Then take the price of the kit. The FMIC plus couplings and new lower i/c plumbing and we still kept the price competitive with everyone else's at $750.
The reason we haven't flooded our site with pictures is simple, we don't want to make it too easy for the other guys to copy what we worked hard to finish. This has been happening to us for 15 years. I would atleast like to sell 50 or so of them before we have to compete with someone else that just flat out copied what we did.
I will try to put pictures up on our site next week. We are trying to come up with a way to make it confusing enough that it can't be copied from the picture
