Exclamation Engine Hesitation

Just started havin an issue. Under medium-hard acceleration, between 4,000- 6,000 rpm I am getting a stuttering or a hesitation. I am getting to full boost. I changed out the plugs to see if thats was the issue a few months ago, now it's back. It seems to go away the longer my car is run. I have an auto start and always let it run for at least 5 min before I go anywhere. I checked the wires and plugs I have no idea. It seems like either a fuel problem or maybe a boost leak?

if you have any mods at all, you need a tune. you're probably picking up knock.

The only mod to the car is a K&N Intake, which was on the car since last July, this just started happening. I changed out the plugs to NGK NPR7ES, gapped to .027 to see if that was the problem. The ones in the car were shot. So I figured that was the problem. It helped for a bit then it started again. Maybe the gap is wrong? I mean I live in buffalo, and its starting to get cold again. After I changed the plugs it didnt happen as much and that was in the summer. I am going pull the plugs tonight and see if they are fouled at all. Then go from there

an intake w/o tune is screwing with the maf readings, thus causing nock. a tune is extremely cheap for what gets done. Contact 4ws tuning. he's a member on here. he can E-mail tune your car by data logging and flashing for 150 bucks. its silly not to. cheers!

I had the same problem when i had my intake w/o a tune.Mine was caused by a lean spot created in the same rpm range as your having the hesitation.Like the others are saying a tune is worth every penny.

Im getting it tuned asap. Anyone know where I can get a set tactrix cables to use in the western ny area? I really dont want to have to buy a $200 set of tuning cables lol. Tamer at 4ws Tuning is gonna set me up and he said ask around so any help in trackin down a set of cables I can use would be a big +

find someone with a cable and rent it from them. thats what i have been doing since i cant get my hands on one to buy.

i just throw them 25 and they ship it to me and i use it till my tune is done and send it back. its a good deal if you dont wanna drop 140 for one.

And if you have the K&N Typhoon intake.. it's garbage, so might as well look for a better one. Search for info about it. Unless you can find someone to tune that intake.
