How to block off UICP?

I'm buying this LICP/UICP kit for my Evo, but still have the stock JDM BOV installed.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=#ht_2432wt_0

I'm basically just buying this kit for the LICP, but was wondering if I should install the UICP too. I want to keep my BOV where it is, but was wondering if I need some sort of a plug to block off the UICP hole for the aftermarket blow-off valve. And please don't bash me about buying my parts off ebay, I don't want to get in that argument. If it breaks, it breaks.

unless you wanted to run an aftermarket bov, I dont see a reason to replace your uicp, unless you have the small battery and you want to eliminate a small bend.

are you saying the gains from running a aftermarket UICP are minimal compared to stock

you dont block off the hole on the ucip, that is where your bpv goes. that is flanged for a tial so you would need to add a different flange for the stock bpv

Basically, if I want to keep my BOV where it is (which I do), then just don't put on the UICP?

Would it really give me any noticeable gains? Will the LICP?

the LICP will help... upper is more for bov or meth lines etc... won't help with performance

why not just buy a licp? that looks like it funnels down pretty small like stock does. Not gonna gain power/spool from it being polished.

Hey there.......just to let ya know, I bought this same kit. The UICP does not work....(at all). The bends are off like 35+ degrees. Seriously. As for the LICP, it does work fine, BUT...the aluminium is very thin, and the LICP does sit a little low.
Just FYI.. On a different note, I just made one for my buddy out of 2-90degree bends, and a 45 bend pipe pieces (and available mig). It cost $11, and 20 minutes of my time.

Awesome to know. I guess I'll just be trashing the UICP when I get it.

Not worth wasting your money on this ebay kit, in my opinion I'd just buy a whole kit from one of the vendors on these forumes i.e. ets, buschur, ams, nisei etc.. otherwise you might as well supply your car with apc parts, I agree with seeing gains from just a licp but don't cheap out on the evo, you'll wish you had replaced it with something a lot higher quality..

Don't waste your money on that junk, buy from a name brand dealer, thanks. If people stop buying that crap, then it will put them out of business!
