3" Downpipe and Test Pipe w/ Stock exhaust??

I had a 3" turbo back exhaust exhaust on my car but after finding a huge crack in one of the pipes i had to remove the rear section. My question is will i see any hp difference if i just leave the 3" dp and tp with the stock cat back and muffler on??At this point im just gonna get a cut out instead of another cat back. Thanks for any info.

Yes you will notice a power difference because you're restricting your airflow. Stock catback has 2 resonators I think and a 90 degree looking bend at the muffler. Thats pretty restrictive, especially since the diameter piping is only 2.5"

when your freeing up the exhaust, your supposed to work from the back up so yes if your running the stock catback, it will restrict a lot. Once you get the cutout, you will be good I ran it with stock catback too.

you will definitely need to get retuned once you install the cutout. The thing that sucked was my car was tuned for the cutout being open. Power was awesome but only problem is when your driving around with it closed, your tune is all messed up obviously. So I just drove like a grandma with it closed

In that case your better off using this:

Full 3 inch stainless muffler that is chambered similar to stock muffler. I was going to do that in order to make a super quiet 3" setup but ran out of budget because I wasted soo much money not finding the perfect quiet non tapering 3" exhaust for the evo.
