'06 Evo MR & Quartermaster...

Hey guys I got a a QuaterMaster installed a few weeks ago and I have been driving it around as a daily driver. If there's one thing I have learned this clutch has 2 modes. Engaged and not engaged!

I been practicing trying to take off from a light like a normal person rather then a bat out of hell and I am getting better at it, but it still shakes the car a little bit. When I was on the dyno a few weeks ago I noticed a lot of Engine shake trying to get the rollers moving.

Anyway, while I was standing there someone said I should invest in a bar to stabilize my engine as it will take a lot of that shake out of it. I don't remember what he called that bar or I'd probably be able to find it with the search function.

Any chance someone can give me the name of the part I am looking for so I can see what's available, If I can get rid of some of this engine shake I'd feel a lot better.

ur suppose to get the lower motor mount when u get a quartermaster that will stop the engine vibration and quartermaster on 6 speed trans will pretty much make ur trans blow from past experience. Just doing highway pulls with hard shifts i blew two 6speeds, but the car was making alot of power/tq so

Haha yeah I been slammed at work, pulled 120 hours last week alone.

Yeah the car is doing great aside from that dreaded P0300 Light...

Need to find these motor mounts and torque dampeners for CHEAP! Might be losing my job in the next couple months business isn't so great and round 2 of layoffs are probably right around the corner.

yeah Jason can wipe out that p0300 no prob... dont get the torque dampner if you are getting the motor mounts tho...

Also.. if you get a lower motor mount (the one mounted on the lower cross member under the tranny) it WILL make your car vibrate with the a/c on and i know how you are about ur car being a DD... find you a used engine dampner and be done.. i may sell mine here shorlty.. if i do before u get one ill hook you up

After the clutch is broken in it will get noticeably better in engagement. It took my twin disc about 800 miles and then like bam it was a different clutch altogether. All twin discs are great at grip but are hard on engagement. I can see where a engine damper, lower motor mount will help..I'm going that route..
