If Perrin Heat soaks the so will the ETS. The ETS 3.5" is lightly smaller than the perrin. Bushur Race vd Perrin is like comparing apples to oranges. Obviously the decision will depend on the application and mods of the car

I bought a Bushur IC and pipes and found nothing fit. Both upper and lower pipes had to cut and rewelded to fit. I would never buy another product from that company. Sorry fans

you wont need to upgrade to anything else if you decide to get a bigger turbo.
Yes you might need to trim a little bit but is not hard to do it.

Its not good unless u have to remove the crash beamm LOL!! Go with Buschur! You don't see world records broken with Perrin. By the way if you couldn't get the pc to fit why didn't u just call Buschur and have them send new ones?? I have purchased things from them for 3yrs and no problem. Maybe u bought this stuff 3rd party and some pcs were not Buschur? Sorry to hear about the problem you had.

JaymanMR,

Have you had a chance to check out our intercoolers? We can fit a 3.0" to 4.0" behind the crash beam. The garrett so called 4" intercooler core is only 3.75" thick. We can fit a true 4" core behind the bumper beam with just a couple spacers behind the crash beam.. No Trimming!

Our cores range from 3.0" all the way to up 6.0" thick!! All our intercoolers are true thickness! The 4.0" is a 4.0" not a 3.75"

I would recommend going with a fabbed tank over the cast tank due to the internal diameter of the outlet on the intercooler. If you have the chance, check out the outlet diameter of the cast tanks. You will see it's like running 2.00" or smaller piping due to the casting size, where the fab tanks we provide are ported for optimal flow.

Since we value our cores the same as a garrett core, we can also use a garrett core at no additional charge.

This will be the best bang for the buck, since we can do a 3.0" for $499, 3.5" intercooler for $599.00 or a 4" for $699.00 - The garrett 4" is only 3.75" so it will fit with no trimming or removal of the crash beam.

If you would lilke to use a Garrett core, you can call in or place an order online and put use garrett core in the notes field.

In the next two weeks, we will have a lot of testing on our intercooler, to disprove some of the false testing that was done. Please don't hesitate to call if you have any questions regarding our intercoolers. We are open monday through Friday 8am to 5pm PST. You can also reach me via pm if that works as well.

Thanks!

Michael

I have the BR race fmic and my temps has dropped a lot since compared to the other brand new fmic I had.

I would go with the BR Race fmic.

ETS makes some nice looking kits IMO! I personally went with the Perrin since its on sale for $519 right now and its the lightest @ 22lbs, but the others that topped my list were the ETS 4" wide-tank (24 lbs) and the Nisei Competition (26 lbs). They all fit with the stock crash beam, and the Perrin and ETS fit with the stock undertray. Frankly, all three of these companies have the best customer service I've ever experienced. I ordered IC pipes from Nisei so now I need to find something to order from ETS; maybe their upper radiator pipe and BOV pipe

I just receive the Perrin unit today. All I can say is WOW!! That thing looks great!!! It looks huge, it is the biggest you can fit without modifying anything. I got it for a great price also. I was going to go with ETS but got hte Perrin cheaper and thats what I got. I also got free shipping to PR which is great, the ETS unit was going to be $100 for shipping. I save $253 over the ETS 3.5 and that was the the main reason I choose Perrin. But it sure looks GREAT!!!!

ETS Mike...What is the absolute thickest core that'll fit on a JDM VIII(no crash beam). I realize that there a 4.5 incher. But, better yet is there a 5, or 5.5 incher that's doable? A little trimming is o.k. by me.

I have a perrin and have no complaints about my temps. I even have the powdercoated one and it is always cool to the touch. It looks very good as well.

I have the Perrin and its great. People are biased, they seem to only like what they have on their car, so just pick the one you want.

+1. In the end i don't feel it really matters as long as airflow is smooth and it stays cool. Unless you're pushing 700+ whp... they all should work fine (except the cheap ones that get heat soaked).
