This will go back and forth as it has in a 100 other threads.
Our 4" core is what we run on our Drag EVO, 8.88 at 172.74 mph and YES that is still the FASTEST EVO8 ever. My street car runs the same core and in full street trim other than the tires ran a 9.04 at 159.64 mph, we put 12 cars in the 9's this year all running that core on them.
I've run a lot of EVO's on our dyno and log AIT's when I do. There are a few other good cores out there. NONE of them BETTER than ours that I have tested, not one.
You don't see us pulling our FMIC's off our own cars or customer cars putting water to air units in, why? Because our FMIC's work.
If you want a larger FMIC we offer our BFIC which is 4.5" thick.
We have all of them instock and can ship the same day.
Also, as for the comment about our FMIC and I/C pipes not fitting, obviously someone was either brain dead or something else was wrong. I'd venture to say we've sold as many if not more FMIC's and I/C pipe kits than anyone and if they didn't fit you'd see it on a daily basis here on EVOm.........and we'd fix the problem.
Good luck in your choice. It's tough when all the information is being thrown at you.
There is a thread on our forums (in my signature) with various FMIC's and turbos being tested that show boost, AIT's etc. Good reading.

evohb, this is not meant to be offensive to you I am just making a point. You say you have the Perrin and it works great for you even with the FP red. That is fine, I am sure it does but that is not a very scientific statement. Not that I am college educated, a scientist or engineer.
The fact is someone could run the stock intercooler and say it works fine for them too.
In the last year I've run into people who have changed many parts at one time in their combination and then went on to claim that XX part and XX part kick butt because they are now making more power. The problem is so many things were just changed there is no telling which part did it.
Just running a part and claiming it is the best is no proof. Just supporting a part because someone spends their hard earned money on it doesn't make it the best.
Testing a part against other parts is how you determine which part works best and here at Buschur Racing our dyno runs more often than any other in the quest to test parts and find out what part actually works the best.
Someone doesn't just throw parts at a car and manage to run 9.0's on a GT35r based turbo, you have to test part after part after part after part to get the combination right.
I don't want my customers blindly saying "Buy Buschur's" either if the part isn't tested to perform. Luckily for us I don't sell a part without testing it first to provide those proven results.
Many of the parts suppliers on EVOm and even more so on other car forums don't own a dyno, don't test their parts and just sell what they can make the highest profit on. I also really enjoy seeing the shops who use other companies dyno numbers for their products and make statements like "well they are both XXX type of part so they are going to make the same power." If only it was that easy, I would have saved myself tens of thousands of dollars this year alone just buying parts instead of testing them...............
Fortunately for us, there is a difference in how parts perform and it is what keeps us fast and has kept us in business for 20 years as of this month.
Thanks for listening.
