hmm, i get the same problems. It happened after i installed Perrin Fuel rail. Took it out after car was running funny. But now i get carbon buildup on my plugs. I think its my EGR valve and im taking it out today. Try checking that.

also, check your EGR lines, they are really crappy and rip really easy

hmm I really like to see what happens when you change the coils! It worked for Aman.

car is running great now.i am running 27 psi on 93 octane.with no cutting out.i am still going to upgrade the coil packs.i have seen a mod that uses gm coils and a mitsu igniter.there is a thread about it .says it could be done for under 200.00 my spark plug gap now is 20 thousandths.when i change out the coil packs i should be able to open that up to 27-30.this problem needed to be addressed as i am installing a pte6765b turbo soon and will be making over 30 psi then .still need a tial 44mm wastegate and dump tube.

I have a similar problem with my 03 evo... It has 70k on it and has had the same mods (turboback, mbc, tune, walbro 255) for about 10k miles...

About two days ago was the first time it happened.. When I start the car it starts up right away but sounds really odd and stutters when I try to drive it, the idle also seems low but if I keep driving and slowly work the RPM's up eveything goes back to normal and the car feels fine...

Also I live in arizona so I doubt its a cold weather issue or anything like that.. Im also open to any ideas or suggestions

Well I changed my plugs and the problem is still there.... It is horrible right when I started the car and at idle it sounds like it is about to stall... but it still drives normal after a few mins, also my check engine light came on and it is for the front and rear O2 sensors... anyone have ideas?

its your plug wires. same problem with my car. moved over a buddy's entire ignition then started switching my parts back one by one until problem returned. you cannot pull on the wire itself when you pull the plug wires out ....only grab the rubber boot. just order a new set of the wires they are like 30 bux i think

autozone says they carry the Bosch ones for my car... should I just pick these up for $55 or is it worth it for some of the other aftermarket $200 ones?
