Question Odd noise during deep snow or heavy rain...

Alright this has happened a few times now and is beginning to make me worried. I first noticed it during a heavy (5+ inches) snow storm last winter. The car was driving perfectly and then all of a sudden I felt much stronger vibrations in the steering wheel and the car seemed like it had some hesitation accelerating. After a few minutes of this, the car drove normally again. I chalked it up to the deep snow and moved on with my life. Then, that spring during a very heavy downpour, the same thing happened. I was on the highway and the car began to vibrate aggressively again. This was accompanied by the same weird feeling during acceleration. Again, the problem disappeared after a short time, but it still worried me. This has happened twice since, both times being in heavy snow or rain. Any thoughts? My drivetrain is completely stock, and I only have minor bolt-ons.

Cliff Notes: Car suffers odd vibrations and hesitations during heavy snow or rain

Don't think so. Clutch travel is pretty much where it was when it was new. Why would that only happen during rain or snow?

Tire slippage will send vibrations to the steering wheel.

I was thinking this. I'll get temporary vibrations and it Def seems that its from the tires.

You get snow packed in the wheel (inner is hard to see) and that will throw off your wheels balance, causing vibration.

But would this happen in the rain as well?

As far as tire slippage goes, wouldn't that not be it because it is sustained for a few mins? It seems too consistent to be tires

I've had it happen when the road is wet, don't know if it's the same vibration as yours but when it happens its only when I pull out and take off.
