I bought this unit today (link below). I will have one of my fabricators look at it to see what can be done to make it more resistant to cracking.

It's an Alpha Werks unit. I did some searching and I see they used to make headers for the 350z, is300, and scion cars. I'm sure that the company is not around anymore, because their webpage doesn't load. If any of you know anything about them, chime in.

Hey Ruff Ryda I don't know if you have ever seen how the DNP manifold is braced but it might be worth it to have your fabricator do something like that also. From the turbo flange to the head flange. I'll see if I can find some pics of the one I used to have sitting around here.

This is not mine but it gives you a pretty good idea of what I am talking about.

Yeah, That's what I was thinking about doing. I can get the material at cost and the labor very cheap. I will be doing this next week. Well, that is if I get the mani by then.

why even bother?

we cover this topic once a month it seems
How important is the coating? I know I could port the mani myself, but I wouldn't want to do the coating?

If it is that important, where could I have it done?

it just keeps heat more out of your engine bay, and prevents the mani from rusting again, its not the most important thing, i ported mine and used high temp paint and it works fine

Thanks a lot, I didn't think I was going to get an answer on that one.
