Is it violent shaking or just a simple vibration?

Might just be a small harmonic of the gear set making the vibration i wouldn't worry about it. Generally if something out of balance its going to shake pretty bad and continue through all gears.

Been told it could be the prop.

I was thinking about it too but if it was something like the prop being out of balance i would think the vibrations would get worse in gear 2 where the prop is spinning even faster.

Good luck though

I have the same in my 03 VIII. It seems to be getting less and less the more I drive the car. REcently bought the car used and it was not driven very much. I would not worry about it too much.
