idle problem with evo

What rom Id are you using? This does seem to be mechanical.

I used to have idle issues with that rom. Switched to the 0015 and it made a difference in idle stability. I even changed my IACV but the rom switch was the main fix. I run meth and it tends to go through the valves.

Have you boost leak tested your car yet?

over and out. lol ...nothing else to trouble shoot. unless you want to check your coils and then do a compression test. But i doubt you have a kit.

I'd test the coils

and yes, i do have a compression tester..but it just dont make sense for htat to be it..i last done my test when i installed my plugs month ago..so i know tahts not it....i'll do the boost leak test

had it on for about 20 min...was idlin fine...soon as i shut her off and on, same issue.....willd o boost test tomorrow.

performed boost leak test...fixed all the minor leaks..and same issue still..car will turn on and die right after ulness gas is held down, it will never regain idle on its own....

when the car wants to, it will start up and idle fine, but as soon as you press the gas the idle will not regain itself, instead drops to 0 rpm..

if theres someone in jersey area with a maf, feel free to pm me to see if thas the problem.

bump for more ideas while the maf comes in...

i went out and turned car on just now, and it idled fine, i blip gas, and it didn't cut off....so idk wtf is goin on with this thing,...it happens when it wants to so i think its something electrical..but idk
