today, i changed my valve cover....old one was cracked(over torqued)...so anywho...all hoses were put back...wires...connections...

so i go for test drive..everything was perfect.

i come home....than i go out again to walmart to pick up some things...on the way back home the car died...so i pulled over...everything looked fine under the hood.

so i start it up, and it dies instantly again...next time i start it i keep throttle open, and it stays on..soon as i take foot off gas it dies again..so i drove it home peddlin brakes and gas..

there are no cel's...but its like it looses vacuum soon as throttle is closed...

could my IACV have went on me???

with maf unplugged or plugged..same results...car dies right after it cranks unless i hold throttle open

 

Have you done a vaccum leak test. Could also be a pinched wire, or whatever it is could have been just coinincinde it happened now. Usually thats the case.

 

yea checked all lines and wires dont see any pinches........will go out and look agian....i have no idea what it is...all was fine earlier...nothing changed but a valve cover

 

i reset the ecu by disc battery..now its idles fine

You didn't unplug the BOV did you? All the wires are in the proper order order, the PCV valves are all plugged in?

 

yup all pcv are in, all connected....unless it has a faulty breather valve on the VC i got..would that cause this???

i actually changed the pcv and used the one from my cover..so i know it works

 

anyone else?

 

it has to relearn idle after bat is disconnected.
