brother i call tell you that our local customers, run 30-35 daily, and for raceing days 04AWDturbo he runs 38 logged by EO1, and he is getting tunned sat on 40psi yes stock internals and 69,000k now thats what i call heritage 4G63

preventive maintenace the right parts for the car, tunned correctly not agressive meaning lean, some good oils regular changes, and some good-ole race gas,, let er rip

 

Do you want him to blow his motor? Safe boost for DD on pump should be 22 or less... i'm assuming you are running pump gas, I run 22 on 91 octane

 

no no no no,,,not on pump of course dont run 35 on pump, i run 26 but thats me, i usto run 22 for a long time and its fun 22 on pump, now with 26 i can do lot more damage.

you are running 22 and you are being reccomended less than 22 on pump because of you octane 91, he has 93 he can crank that with a good tune

I will be running 93 octane and there is a possibility that i will add a meth kit down the road, so what psi whould i run on 93 alone and what psi should I run when i add the meth kit to my 93 octane? and No Apagan iam not as crazy as u...lol but have to admit that it sounds like u have a sweet set up:

 

Low boost I run 14 psi... High boost is at 26 psi on 92, no knock... must be the cool misty North West air...

 

this really depends on the turbo. how much it flows. bigger turbo will flow more and to make it safe you will need less boost. i was running 25psi on my stock turbo with no problems. drove it like that for a year and put a green on and ran over 30psi. also depends on the tune too.

 

what type of mods? are you completely stock it all depends on what mods you have.

Depends on the tune and gas you run. This is a dumb question to ask IMO.

 

You can't ask the question "how much boost can I run", like it is a definitive answer, no matter what. There are so many variables. What kind of fuel and fuel components do you have.... what turbo... ect. The reality is you can run alot of boost pressure if you can keep detonation away. Stock engines have ran 30+lbs of boost on huge turbos, even with stock headgaskets and head bolts, and gotten away with it for a long time, because the car was tuned properly and didn't knock.

 

It all depends on so many variables that you can't just ask that vague of a question. Get yourself a wideband, tuning software and dive in.

 

30psi on meth.

 

aaggggg youll be fine, just get a good tunner and have him give you a safety margin, like a 11.5 AFR youll be running 25 or 26 all day long spanking those stangs.

you were asking what boost level can the stock bottom end can withstand, and we answered we have many Wynn's customers that run 30+ daily 450WHP + on stock internals of couse with ARP's on the head.

04AWDturbo runs 38, he is going for 40 thats all on the red and C16


however be carefull when you run more than normal boost you better be prepped for anything,,, i am just saying that the stock bottom end did 3 pulls on the dyno and a couple 1/4 mie pases for him,,,, however he has been running high boost for over 30k on his car with the green
