Help w/ Cam Angle Sensor Orientation

I'll try to keep the story as short as possible. Last spring I installed a set of GSC S1's. While putting everything back together, I made the mistake of not taking note of the correct orientation for the cam angel sensor. I figured if the car wouldn't start, I'd just have to turn the CAS 180 degrees. The car started and ran just fine. I even had the car tuned @ AMS with no isssues. Well, now I'm upgrading to Kelford 272's and I was doing some reading on EvoMoto's cam-install. They claim the CAS is supposed to have the larger trigger vane pointed a little down and to the right. Well, when I removed my S1's, my CAS was 180 degrees opposite...pointed to the left.

Does anyone know if EvoMoto's write-up is incorrect? How would my car run just fine with the cam angle senor 180 degrees off?

This is only the case at TDC with the cam dowel pins up. If the cam dowels are down, then it would be correct.

Thanks for the responses guys. I followed the RRE video walk-through, and lined up the cam gear marks w/ the valve cover. The cams were removed with the dowel pins up.

I still need to remove the timing belt and the head. I guess when I put everything back together and do the timing, I'll just put the CAS is the position according to the EvoMoto Guide if that's the same thing the shop manual says.
