Clutch Question Exedy vs Cusco

I recently got Cusco twin disc and it needs a new pressure plate. Does anybody know if Exedy Twin HD has the same pressure plate as Cusco twin?

I am almost positive it does. The clutch discs themselves are marked Exedy. Check with some of the vendors here. Quite a few sell rebuild kits. Or try a search on rebuild exedy clutch. That should point you in the right direction.

I have the same clutch BTW.

I spoke with few vendors on here, and none gave me an answer. One even called exedy but they say its different, they don't say how different. $500 is a lot of money to gamble on this one.

It looks like twin to triple conversion might not work for a cusco twin

The Cusco twin is the same as the Exedy SD, not HD. Bare that in mind when looking at different stuff for them.

here is a quick link.

The SD vs HD should still have the same bolt pattern. Its only a clamping load. Trust me about the guts though. The clutch disks themselves say "exedy" on them. The Cusco unit is nothing but a rebranded Exedy.

Dont forget a clutch alignment tool while you are at it.

This was performed on a twin Cusco to a tripple plate. Although when I read it the clutch was a carbon/carbon so I dont know what the difference is on those. But there are many helpful PN's and vendor references in there.
