No Tensioner Tool! NEED HELP!
they mean using the cherry picker to keep tension on the gears so the timing wont slip ( I think)
You need around 8-9" of tool and the threaded part is only around 3" long.
You are trying to remove the accessory belt tensioner. That should be straight forward. Like the other guys said..without the tool you can just use a vise if you take the timing belt tensioner out of the car. Or before you remove it try to see if the wire will pass thru the hole (probably a long shot)
Did you remove the cam gears yet and slacken up the timing belt? Cause if not, you can still get away without doing all that stuff and zip tying the belt to the gears in a number of places. Remove the gears but keep tension on them. Remove the cams and just bolt the gears back on. As long as you didnt skip the timing belt and were careful, you shouldnt have to redo the timing or tension.
