The CEL can be defeated with a $3 spark plug non-fouler or by disabling it with ECUFlash using a Tephra hack. How is $93 for a testpipe cheap? My favorite testpipe is the resonated Megan and it can be had for around $60. Also, do some searching on LancerShop; you should avoid doing business with them like the the plague.

I am selling a custom delete pipe with the o2 sensor bung moved out of the exhaust stream, which will not throw a code for $60 shipped.

LancerShop is bad b/c they continually rip off customers, send the wrong products, refuse to issue refunds, etc.

A testpipe is your best bet for making the most power. The Megan resonated testpipe is just nice because its cheap, it works very well, and the resonator in it helps quiet down the exhaust a bit.

well i think the megan resonated one is for me then. i like a sporty exhaust but id rather it be a little quieter without losing power. and i would rather buy a new cat pipe but thanks for the offer. where can i get a perrin o2 simulator and is it hard to install? do i still need it even if i am getting a tune right after i install it?

Good write-up. I used to make these and sell them on eBay many years ago. Its a 1/2" drill bit you'll need. You'll want a high speed bit designed for steel; I found the Black and Decker titanium coated ones for ~$10 worked pretty well for multiple uses, but for just doing it once any cheap bit should do it.

Get this: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...d-v5-10-a.html and you won't need the non-fouler since you can just disable rear o2 sensor CEL with a simple flash. If you aren't able to do this yourself your tuner definitely will be able to.

oh cool so i dont need an o2 simulator... because my plan is to install all of this stuff on my own, take the ECU out drive a different car to my tuner with the ECU, get it flashed to match with the parts i have installed, drive home and put the ecu back in and start my car up! i will do a full dyno and custom tune once i get my bigger mods in like cams, turbo and intercooler.

I don't see a reason to remove the ECU from your car for a flash. Assuming he'll be using ECUFlash he'll just need to plug into the ports in the driver's footwell. ECUFlash is free and works really well so I can't see the use in anything else except for a standalone in a heavily built track car. You may want to double-check with your tuner on what he plans to do and how he plans to do it. A custom dyno tune is going to be your best bet, but if you don't have that option available Mellon Tuning seems to be really good at remote custom tuning.

You'll be fine driving around with those parts and no tune. Just drive it nicely until you get a tune.

NOW MY CAR IS UNTUNED. I have not tuned it once since i got it. My car drives fine. The only thing is im not getting the full preformace i can out of my car. My nearest tuner is 5 plus hours away and thats mellon. So im not gonna go see him until i get my car full decked out new turbo and br head and then greddy camgears and Kelford Camshafts then ill get it tune.
The only thing that might happen is a drop in idle alittle of than that im not tuning for every preformace part i put on so there your car will be fine
