is a double pumper necessary(500 whp on pump gt35r)

my car has a BR double pumper with AN lines and fittings, an Aeromotive FPR, and 1200cc injectors. well ive decided NOT to do e-85 anymore. This may be a silly question but will i still need the double pumper for pump gas on this setup, imlooking for around 500whp or a little less.

stock ecu
stock head w/
gsc 280s and kiggley springs and retainers
buschur built stage 3 bottom end
buschur gt35r kit
and of course the usual mods bolt ons etc.

If a single walbro is sufficient im up getting rid of the double and the fpr, as well as the 1200cc injectors. i just want a reliable car around 500 on pump that can do the occasional track day. i already have a guy i can sell my 1200's to and have a set of 1000 cc injectors i can buy. and would be relieved of getting rid of the double pumper because its been fitted with an lines and fittings as well as the FPR which is simply a PITA when it comes to tuning. im all for simplicity, IMO theres less to go wrong there.

Walbro is good to around 600, and the stock lines are good for alot more, Buschur ran with stock lines deep into the 9's.

+1 on single walbro. ive seen quite a few cars running 600whp with the one walbro. although the idea of a double pumper is pretty bad a**. gl with the set up man

yeah im all for the double pumper but the damn AN lines and fittings wont fit on the stock FPR, and this aeromotive one is a PITA to tune, plus i dont even have a fuel pressure guage.

I'm on 1 255HP intank and PTE880s pushing a little over 500WHP on pump gas now at 26psi. No fueling problems whatsoever.

I'm surprised there aren't any other fuel pumps out there that would fill that gap between these "double pumper" 1000hp setups and the good ole 255.

Single Walbro 255lph pumps have been used on EVOs with race gasoline that made 600whp.

The only way a single pump is too small for a 5XXwhp application is if E85 is used.

Our car was on a single walbro and trapped 142! So I dont think mellon ran out of fuel because of his pump....

Single pump is fine. Also depends on what dyno you chose. You can make 500 easily on a DJ or DD with one pump. a MD you will run out of fuel. I have the same issue.
