2.3 Power Goals

Hey everyone,

I've been doing a lot of research on my build and the money has finally piled up for the project to take off. I'm trying to be realistic about my goals here, but I do need some help as I cannot find everything I'm looking for. My goal and questions are as follows.

Setup (I think)
2.3 Buschur Block
Stage 3 Buschur Head
Buschur in tank Double Pumper
Buschur Ported TB and IM
RnR T3 Manifold
PT6262 or HTA35r [help me decide]
Tial 44mm wastegate
QTP 3" Cutout
BR Ignition System [do I need it?]

My goal is ~650awhp on 93 pump gas. This car will be driven daily.

Thank for all the help!

Looks good.

Drop the RNR manifold since I dont think its available anyway, HTA, COP. 650whp on 93 is a tall order but possible if the parts are all right. What cams had you been thinking of?

I already have the RnR manifold on my current setup (pt6031), and for cams I'm buying Tomei 280's

The only limiting factor in that setup i see is the RnR manifold.. Whenever we have a car here with that manifold it never makes good power.. Id go 6262 as that is my favorite T3 Turbo.. the rest looks great!!

Actually i just read the bottom line.. Id have to say your car will NEVER make 650 on pump with that manifold.. Just my opinion..

Mike

The turbo kit proven to make 600+whp on pump is Buschur / Shearer.. The RnR is one of worst flowing Tubular manis from what i have seen.. I think the DP has some sharp turn bends in it too..

I agree with Mike. I would go 6262. If not that, then the hta86.

I still think that 650 is a tall task. But you never know. Mellon is making 600 on the stock ecu on pump @ 32 psi. So you never know.

I make 530 hp on a 60 trim on my stoker @ 26 psi on the stock ecu and maf. I could only imagine what the car would make with 32 psi on pump. I am going to be changing some of my setup to try and make 600 hp on pump in the spring. Relocate battery, better uicp(sick of the injen blowing apart), tb, finish porting my ontake manifold, and maybe a bigger turbo

Oh I'm sorry I forgot to mention, I will be using AEM EMS lol. Now does this goal seem a bit more reasonable?

Makes it a little more realistic. Even though it may be possble on the stock ecu. People are getting close.
