front o2 sensor replacement
so i had a buschur ss o2 housing installed on my car. the front o2 sensor was very difficult to remove and was most likely "disturbed" during removal but it was reinstalled with the hope that it would be ok. the car has 75k on it so no biggie. however i am getting the p0134 code and also did logs getting no feedback from the front o2 sensor. i will replace it myself since it looks fairly straight forward. any tips or advice or thing to look out for?

One tip I guess is that the EVO 9's use a different front O2 sensor than the EVO 8s..
You can get the front EVO 8 O2 sensor cheap @ oxygensensors.com (79.90$) - it's plug and play w/ the correct harness.

pick up a thread chase for the O2 threads 18mm x 1.5. If the sensor is tight, chase the threads and use anti-seize on the threads of the new sensor. Make sure you don't contaminate the sensor end with the anti-seize. Good luck.

BUY THIS SENSOR ^^^^^^^^^,,,,, Do not buy the auto zone carquest napa whatever universal sensor i have one in my garage you can have if you want they dont work well you may not notice it unless you log but when i did my afrs were jumping all over even at cruise you couldnt feel the difference but mileage was affected whereas the one from the above web site worked like factory no splicing required and the AFRs were perfect.

Check out mitsubishi parts.net also same price and you are actually getting the same as OEM with the correct connector just like the above. If you have the employee pricing code you get a nice discount until Jan 09 (short time left). I am NOT a vendor for them just had good luck purchasing from them. If you call you can usually get them to waive the shipping cost also.
Edit: here is the link http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/cart/?pn=md164423
2nd edit: employee pricing code: h7sNt0ho

Try clearing the code. If it doesn't come back and it shows that it's doing it's job in your logs, then don't worry. If it comes back, replace it.
Sometimes things are weird if disturbed. I changed my timing belt and got a P0300. I cleared it and haven't seen it in over a year. It's worth a shot.
