Can a 8 wastegate actuator be used on a 9?
AFAIK, nein! The two are not readily interchangeable. For one thing the length and bends of the actuator rods are different. Furthermore, the hole on the turnbuckle doesn't even come close to lining up with the peg on the WG pivot arm. At least, this is what I observed when I tried to use my Forge VIII WGA on my FP Green(IX) turbo.

You got it to work? Yeah, with zero to very light levels of WG preload I'd say that it 's doable. However, if you are like me and like to run 18+ PSI of preload then you will most likely run into the issue of non axial rod movement leading to actuator spring bind and possible diaphragm damage.
