Increasing actuator preload??

Is there any negatives to increasing the preload on the actuator I'm currently running a hallman pro at 26psi? At this level of boost with the hallman would I benefit from a uprated actuator?

Huh, this one almost slipped under the radar!

Is your car totally stock? If not, then please post up your complete list of power mods. For starters: what turbo, what actuator(eg: stock VIII 16G, stock VIII actuator?) Also, what diverter valve?

Have you played around with the wastegate spring pressure(preload) at all yet? Or is it as delivered from the factory?

So you are on the stock actuator. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. I think that you should try increasing spring preload with the stock unit before plunking down money on an upgraded one.

It's a VIII with a 10.5 exhaust housing, cams, walbro,3" exhaust currently on stock actuator using a hallman pro running 1.75bar boost but lately the boost is tailing off a little more than usual should I be running more than standard preload at these boost levels or maybe a updated 1.2bar actuator?
