Actuator Recommendation?

hey guys, im the in market for a new upgraded actuator as my OEM actuator in busted up and totally dead. Can anybody out there recommend which actuator i should go for. im looking for something that can hold around 25psi on my stock turbo

the actuators i found are:

Forge motorsports
Forced performance
HKS
JUN
New OEM actuator

the thing is which is the most reliable and give me the results i want???

btw this for an Evo 6 Tommi Makinen Edition but as per my knowledge any actuator that fits Evo 6,7,8 or 9 will be fine??

I would recommend the forge. Free lifetime warranty on them and if something ever happens they send you the parts to rebuild it and they pay for shipping, even if you weren't the original purchaser. Now that's standing behind a product.

I've run a Forge Actuator on my stock turbo setup with a Hallman Pro RX MBC and it held pretty well. I am now running an upgraded stock frame turbo & have an FP 25psi actuator, still using the Hallman MBC but with a stiffer spring (You have to contact Hallman for this spring). My setup holds boost very well, tapers 2 psi up top.

i actually just found out that evo 9 actuators dont fit my car but evo 8 actuators fit perfectly...

based on the reviews i read everybody is recommending the forge and the FP like you guys mentioned...the thing is i cant find any online store that sells the FP actuator for an Evo 8 they only provide the Evo 9 so i guess i should go for the forge

I know it says Evo 9 WGA on their website but I am pretty positive the WGA fit on either turbo...Call FP & ask...

i've had both the HKS (the stock one that came with the GTII 7460) and the stock Evo 9 actuator crap out on me at local time attack events.

i got the Forge 25psi actuator from Mike @ AWDmotorsports and i've got nothing but good things to say about the WGA and AWD the boost comes on stronger and holds better than either the HKS and stock unit, no matter how much i cranked up the preload on either. i've seen both the FP and Forge units, and IMO the Forge has better fit and finish. HTH

Too bad that we live so far apart. I have a couple new Forge VIII actuators sitting on the shelf above my workbench and you could have one for free. Unfortunately though, Honduras and Bahrain are half a world apart.

Incidentally, and just to clarify, the Forge VIII WGA and the Forge IX actuator are different and cannot be interchanged on the same turbo. The VIII actuator works on VIII 16G turbos only and the Forge IX actuator will only fit on the IX 16G turbo. So, be careful when ordering. Order directly from Forge if in doubt.
