Magnecore 8.5mm wires not fit IX?

Picked up a set of the Magnecore 8.5 wires from a member on here that ordered them from lancershop.com/ Anyhow I went to install them today, and they do not go all the way into the cylinder and create a "seal". They stick a bit above the top. I checked the length of the rubber boot and its the same length as stock. However, I then checked the inside and the stock ones have the conductor farther up the boot and the magnecore is more near the bottom, which is of course why it will not seal. Did I perhaps purchase a set for an EVO 8? Or do they use the same plug wires?

Yep. It's a known problem that they don't fit. Magnecore was great for DSM's, not so much for the Evo.

What kind of upgraded plug wires do you recommend that will fit?

How much horsepower are you making? Less than 500 WHP? If so, stick with the stock plug wires. If more than that, get the SparkTech coil-on-plug setup.
