So at least initially I shouldn't need to adjust it right? Thanks for the help!

Always adjust it after a fresh clutch install. What I do is loosen the nut and screw the adjustment rod all the way out till I feel some resistance...screw it back in a 1/2 turn, then tighten the nut. The clutch will be all the way at the top, but this insures that when you push in the clutch it will be fully disenguaged. This will help the "Lock Out" theory.

HDG6 owner here as well. Love mine! I have the Gruppe-S flywheel/clutch package. It was too good of a price to pass up when my stocker failed. It took me a few days to get used to it, but it shifts like butter and grabs real nice. Very happy!

I have none in the EVO but I had a 6 puck unsprung in my 00 Turbo Civic Si. It wasn't so bad it had a ruff engagement but you get used to it and used to how to drive the car. I drove the car daily and I went low 10's with it. Hope that helps

I actually just got mine installed a few hours ago and actually really like it. I can slip it just enough for it ride smoothly, the pedal feel is a little stiffer but I became used to it within the 3 hour ride home from Dallas. I am still getting accustomed to the grabbiness of the clutch, but all in all i'm quite glad I went with the sprung 6 puck ACT HDG6

I use to shift the crap out of my car until I broke my shiftfork. With NLTS u will never get locked out of gear.

I daily drive my HD G6 and it works fine for me. You will get used to the engagement after a while. Ive never had any lockout issues either.

I DD my 8 with a 6 puck sprung on xtreme and I will NEVER again put it in the car.

I wouldn't recommend 6 puck discs to anyone who daily drives their car. Its a great clutch and all but I dont really like driving it on the street.

Get the street disc if anything.

This of course is all my opinion.

yours suck because you got the extreme pessure plate. thats way too much for a dd. the hd pressure plate isnt bad at all.

QFT

I have the HDG6 setup in my IX and my wife can drive it. Car has had multiple 11.8 passes at 118mph. Car now makes 377/377 on dynodynamics and clutch is working great with no lockout issues. 11K miles on the setup so far.
